Prince William, VA, September 23, 2009:
Congratulations “Taste of Prince William” Winners
Regional Chamber Event Showcases Local Eateries
Members of the Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce had an opportunity to taste samples from a variety of local food providers and vote on their favorites at the Chamber’s recent “Taste of Prince William,” held at Hylton Memorial Chapel. The News & Messenger was the Corporate Sponsor.
Restaurants, personal chefs, caterers and even assisted living facilities were on hand to demonstrate that Prince William is not only a great place to “live, work and play;” it is also a great place to eat, with a diversity of dining options available. Choosing the “best” proved difficult, as evidenced by there being ties in three of the five contest categories. “My table nearly didn’t get our vote turned in time to be counted—we each had our own favorites. It was hard to come to a consensus on just one being the best, it was all so good” said Emily Guerrero, Communications Manager at the Region’s Chamber.
Eventually, the votes were counted, and the following winners announced:
- Best Appetizer: Daks Grill
- Best Entrée (tie): Kitchen Gourmet, A Company of Caterers
- Best Dessert: Macaroni Grill
- Best Presentation (tie): Okra's Louisiana Bistro, Westminster at Lake Ridge
- Best Wings (tie): Glory Days Grill, Westminster at Lake Ridge
