Prince william county FY 2009 budget

PUBLIC POLICY

In today’s challenging economy, members of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors face difficult decisions concerning the fiscal 2009 budget and tax rate.  Due to declining residential real estate values, the Supervisors are considering significant tax rate increases to finance government operations and contribute to the budget of the Prince William County Public Schools.

Commercial property owners will face significant real estate tax increases due to the higher real estate tax rates and a slight increase in the value of the average commercial property.

The Chamber has communicated with each member of the Board of County Supervisors to urge them to consider various business issues in making their final decision on April 29.

Read the letter the Chamber has sent to each member of the Board of County Supervisors.  Review the County's FY 2009 Budget. Then email your Supervisor to express your opinion on the proposed Prince William County budget.
